Tote and Tee Giveaway on Ohana Mama

First a little story…Getting Preschool Cold Feet

One week from today, and I will be dropping off my first-born, my baby, my “number 1”, my “main man” to preschool. WOW.

We are all very excited in this house. My son cannot wait. Well, last week, I took him to check out a different preschool than we had originally signed him up for (over a year before he got in, by the way!) I was having preschool signing up remorse. I was nervous. Had I made the right decision and picked the right preschool for him? Could there be something better, out there?
So I took him and let him go and I watched from afar. He was in heaven. All the things to do. All the kids to meet and check out. I saw him standing by himself, looking at everything there is to do. You could literally see the wheels turning in his head.
He wanted to play with the water table. I could see him thinking, “Was it ok?” He quietly said, “Excuse me!” to get the teacher’s attention. She didn’t hear him. He cleared his throat and tried again, this time louder, “EXCUSE ME!” She heard him. He asked if he could play with the table. She said of course.
I was smiling ear to ear. He said, “excuse me,” used his manners. Spoke up and asserted himself. I was proud. Happy. Sad. Where had my little baby gone…he was now a little boy and he was doing great all by himself in this big thing they call preschool. Hand me the tissues!
In the end I decided that I had made a good decision when I signed him up for the original preschool. I’ll let you know how it goes next week. I have a feeling I’ll be the one crying and Cam will be just fine.

Giveaway Alert!

Tote and Tee is awesomely (is that a word?) sponsoring a giveaway. When I saw this store I had to contact them to see if they could be featured on Ohana Mama. Thinking of my little guy starting preschool, when I saw these totes I fell in love.

They’ve also got the coolest tees where you can get your child’s initial on them in fun fabrics. They do custom word tees as well.  And for birthdays, you’ve got to check out the tees with numbers on them. I think I might get one with a “1” on it for my little wahine’s 1st birthday.

  17. Ooh I just love the Brown Derby Lunchbox, and I am drooling over the baby booties. Of course I would have to put those away ;)

  18. I would definitely buy all the cute socks they have. I love the aqua and white striped socks and the grape candy socks. My husband loves it when I dress the girls in those type of socks! The site is very cute though and it would be hard to not get a tee as well.

Mya (aka the fashion diva of the cunningham family) is starting pre-school in September and I love the purple purple poodle lunch box and of course she’d have to have the purple argyle socks too! I don’t do “characters” that you find at all the main steam stores so I love that the stuff from Tote and Tee is stylish but still totally kid appropriate!

  20. I would love to buy the “So Many Colors” Tee and the “Bubblegum Sticks” lunchbox. Actually, I’d buy any thing at all on their website!

  21. I would for sure get the
    Flipside” Bucky Metal Lunch Box
and I’d probably get the black and white striped tights

Pink Cocoa Lunch Box would be my choice. I have been looking everywhere for a lunch box for my 2nd grader and this would be perfect. She is “too old” for the ones in the stores (she says.)
