Bilingual Fun!

When I was in preschool, a long long time ago, I learned Spanish.  It was amazing how fast I picked it up and how much I retained.  I think all that I know, I know from preschool, not the three years of high school Spanish,  seriously.  That is why I am excited to tell you all about these great DVDs that teach your children Spanish through songs and dancing…Bilingual Fun!

From the Bilingual Fun web site…

“The widest window of opportunity for language development exists between the ages of 0-60 months when language and cognitive skills are beginning to develop.”

The company was created by a mom who is raising her two children in a bilingual household.  The Bilingual Fun team offers 9 week Spanish classes for those in Michigan (where my sister and her family live!) and these wonderful DVD series for those of us out of the area.

And right now, Bilingual Fun is hosting a giveaway for Ohana Mama readers!  One winner will win the Spanish For Children DVD series (two dvds).  These DVDs teach your little one, numbers, colors and animal vocabulary in Spanish and in the second volume they will learn greetings, body parts and food.

I want my little ones to learn spanish because they are half-mexican. I don’t know any Spanish and want my children to be exposed to a part of their heritage.

I’d like my children to learn spanish because I think it’s wonderful to know speak and understand more than just 1 language.
I really wish I would have learned spanish.
It would be very helpful in speaking to my inlaws

maybe I’d be able to learn from the DVD too!

Thanks!

Hi! I just signed up for the newsletter. I would love to win this (otherwise I may just have to buy it!). I am a “temporarily retired” (aka stay at home mom) Spanish teacher. I really want my daughter to learn Spanish and I hope to put her in Spanish preschool classes if possible when she’s older. I feel like I need someone else to get things started for her, even though I speak Spanish. I would love to be able to speak it with her when she’s older! Thank you for pointing this cool program/DVD out!

I feel badly, as neither DH nor I are very good at our Spanish, but our parents are of course, bilungual. I want our kids to grow up bilingual, it’s a little bit of their heritage that I think they should have.
