On Ohana Mama, my aim is to promote mom-run businesses. With that said, when I see a product that can benefit moms everywhere that is made by one of the “Big Guys” I will share it as well. So today I’m sharing this great package I received from Gerber Foods.
Gerber, we all know it and see it at our big box stores. With the classic little cute baby on every product. Well, did you know that they offer Organic products and products made with DHA – which can help with brain development and your babies vision?
My little girl is one but she only has two teeth on the bottom front, so I tend to give her purees still and just make them a bit more chunky with some added cereal. Although I would love to be the “perfect mom” and make all of her meals and puree them with love and have birds singing at my window as I do it, the reality is, I just do not have the time. So I do give her jarred baby food (gasp!). So I was excited to try these new tastes from Gerber with her! Some of my daughters faves…
Mahalo Gerber – I am so glad a big company is looking to create better foods for our babies as this is the most important time where we can start our keiki on healthy eating habits. I am equally as happy that I am able to get organic and foods with DHA that I can find right at my local grocery store without having to travel to our health foods store for her baby food…that saves me time, money and gas. Woo!

My daughter is 11 months and until now had only her 2 bottom teeth. All of a sudden this week, 4 on top and 2 more on the bottom are poking through.

I LOVE the Gerber organics for my son–he eats that and whatever we make for him at home.
I can’t believe she only has two teeth still! She is a slow teether like Keegan! And we use that gerber cereal at home, we mix it straight into pureed apples or pear. Yum! I also add it to pancake mix sometimes.
