Honey Kix Prize Pack Giveaway!

Winners are….

We love cereal in our house.  And not only for breakfast.  We eat it for snacks at home, snacks on the go, dessert and yes, sometimes dinner.  Cereal is the bomb!  And it’s a great way to get more milk and calcium in your little one!

That is why I was excited to try the new Honey Kix cereal. A little bit about this new yummy treat…

“New Honey Kix cereal, which has all the goodness of Kix® cereal but now with a touch of honey! Honey Kix is a good source of fiber, calcium and vitamin D, contains 16 grams of whole grain per serving (at least 48 grams recommended daily) and has no artificial flavors or preservatives. A perfect balance of taste and nutrition through simple ingredients, which both moms and kids can agree on!”

A good test whether something is good or not in my house, as you will read over and over again on my blog, is how long it stays in our house.  Honey Kix didn’t last long.  I loved it for my nightly snack before bed, as did my husband.  My daughter took it on the go for a snack while at the park and my son loved it as his breakfast before he headed off to school. So the box was gone in a blink of an eye! I’d say that’s two hula shakes, and a full belly, from The Ohana Mama family!

Mine gets off to a good start with a brisk walk followed by a bowl of cheerios & milk covered with bananas—and then the daily newspaper & a cup of freshly brewed coffee!

My routine is simple! I make sure that everything is ready, except for the kids, the night before. 2 out of my 3 kids are slowpokes in the morning, so we have to do it this way!!

I simplify the morning routine by getting everything done at night that needs done the next morning, even if it means staying up late.

Every morning my husband gets the kids up and in the shower, then fixes breakfast while I’m getting together backpacks and school lunches. It’s all about cooperation at my home. Thanks for sharing~

I always start my morning with a bowl of cereal with milk, orange juice, and a cup of tea. I also give myself enough time in the morning to check my e-mail and read the yahoo news headlines before heading out the door.

I try to do everything possible the night before. That means making lunches, laying out clothes, shoes and even laying out breakfast things such as cereal, bowls and milk. I also have a rule that the tv does not come on. It seems to make everyone poky even if it just turned to the news.

I do as much as possible the night before — lay out the kids’ clothes, pack lunch, pack backpacks and leave them in a designated spot, and lay out my own clothes and make sure my purse and keys are ready to go. I usually grab a mug of hot tea on the way out the door in a travel mug, and we are all set!

We buy or make ahead and freeze waffles, french toast or waffles.
So all they have to do is pop them into the microwave and a fast way to have breakfast on the go. My 17 year old daughter even takes them to school to eat between her class breaks.
My grandson is coming to visit he would love the prize as he likes bees, and honey and what a great way to take cereal on the go with the on the go container which would be perfect since my husbands favorite snack is cereal which he likes to take to work.

Thank you

We actually plan what we are having for breakfast the next day and then make sure all paperwork is done and in backpacks… Then I wake up before everyone and get breakfast started or get the bowls ready.. Take a few minutes of peace and quiet before I get everyone else up
