LIVE Giveaway! Exergen Thermometer (review)

exergen-300x300Quick!  It’s 2 a.m. and your little one wakes up burning.  She’s crying and is not being very cooperative and will not stand having a thermometer held under her tongue or armpit and is definitely NOT into you putting that thermometer you-know-where.  You are tired, half awake and not in for a battle but you must know how hot your little one is so you can take care of her!

Da-da-da-daaah!  Exergen Thermometer to the rescue!  This thermometer is so super easy to use, isn’t invasive and best of all, it’s accurate!  Thankfully I didn’t have to use it for real for this review but I did do a test the other morning with my son…check it out and see just how easy using the Exergen Thermometer is!

A little bit more about the Exergen Thermometer…

Accurate Temperature With A Gentle Forehead Scan.

  • More accurate than ear*
  • At least as accurate as rectal**
  • Method of choice of premier hospitals

Professional Technology For Parents…patented Arterial Heat Balance provides the breakthrough:

  • Gentle stroke of forehead captures naturally emitted heat from skin over temporal artery .
  • Red LED lights and soft beep indicate correct scan.
  • Takes 1,000 readings per second, selecting the most accurate.
  • Arterial Heat Balance computes the correct temperature.”

Why Ohana Mama loves this thermometer…

  • It’s fast!
  • It can even be used while my little one is sleeping
  • I don’t need any of those plastic cover thingys
  • And no PROBING!

We’ve been lucky this year. we haven’t been as sick with viruses and colds as years past. Just the allergies.

Amanda April 29, 2009 at 3:43 pm

I have to hide our thermometers from my kids. They like to play with them.

Reply

Tawnda April 29, 2009 at 3:43 pm

this would really help me with my kids… and even myself…

Jacqueline Renner April 29, 2009 at 3:44 pm

Lately, we’ve all been healthy too. Thank goodness!

I think the cold med manufacturers should offer a preferred customer discount with as much money as we spend on allergy products.

I’d love to win this for a friend that is having a baby next month.

Tawnda April 29, 2009 at 3:44 pm

i don’t bother to hide mine, they’re the same kind that you find in doctor’s offices :)

Jinxy April 29, 2009 at 3:45 pm

I hate taking temps the “old fashion way” so this would make ife much better

Amanda April 29, 2009 at 3:45 pm

The kleenex companies should have more coupons too. Sometimes I think we singlehandedly keep them in business with the snot factory we have here.

My son coughed a little today.

I think my boys have been trying to hide our thermometer. I keep finding it in weird places..lol

Reply

Jacqueline Renner April 29, 2009 at 3:46 pm

This thermometer is really accurate too. My dh is always a temp lower than most people’s and it registers his temp the same way!

Reply

Amanda April 29, 2009 at 3:46 pm

LOL Belinda. Mine seek the thermometer out. They always want to know if they have a fever

Reply

Tawnda April 29, 2009 at 3:46 pm

this would actually be kind of funny to have. last year 3 of my children stayed home, and i had lost my voice. it ended up spelling out ACT when you wrote the 3 kids initials down. lol

Reply

Amanda April 29, 2009 at 3:47 pm

My temp is always a degree below too. The doc always tells me 99 isn’t a fever, but for me it’s the beginning of one.

Oh, Amanda, don’t get me wrong. My husband is rarely “sick.” He just thinks he is.

No kidding! Our family makes Boogie Wipes and Puffs a fortune! We have to stock up every time we head to the store. It’s crazy!

Reply

Tawnda April 29, 2009 at 3:47 pm

my kids never seek it out, they don’t like our thermometers because they feel like they’re at the doctors.
