I am a lip & lashes kind of a gal. Leave me with some lip gloss and mascara and I am good to go (ok, please also leave the concealer for the under eye circles this mama is sportin’!) But mascara and lip gloss are the only type of make up that I truly feel naked without.

As part of the Beyond 11 Moms team, I was able to try the new Maybelline New York Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara . Equipped with a battery, you press down on a button in the mascara wand to create vibrations while you apply. This is supposed to take the place of you physically shaking the wand while applying – do you do that? I do! I want it to get in there and on each lash to give me “I’m awake!” eyes.
My take…
- I like the mascara, vibrate or no vibrate – you don’t have to use the vibrating function if you don’t want to, fyi
- The vibration isn’t all that strong so you won’t have trouble and end up with mascara in your eye or all over your face, a la raccoon face
- I wear contacts and had no eye irritation
- The vibrating function itself isn’t the reason I’d buy this product. But overall, it was just as good as my trusty Maybelline Great Lash mascara that I’ve been using for years.

I have super long eyelashes and I curl them up so they don’t jab my eyeballs. Problem is when I wear most mascaras they are so heavy and thick that they cause my lashes to uncurl and to look bad…

I have stopped wearing a lot of make up but I never leave the house without mascara and lip gloss
I hope I can make it till 90 and 101. I am so tired, lol, and cranky 13 month old
I got my mineral makeup free for helping out barefootmamas
yeah I want a mascara that’s not so thick… so I can wear it naturally.

I am thinking the vibrating is weird.
I have no eyelashes and haven’t found one that doesn’t go clumpy when put on.

I’ve never tried curling before. It scares me, lol.
Beeb, I use it on top and bottom. The bottom I dont get messy b/c I just dab it on rather than brush it on. But my top lid is always a mess! I have to use Q-Tips to clean it off!

I have the worst lashes. Small and tiny
Toni, an avon brand I tried didn’t go clumpy but it had “fibers” in it to lengthen or something. Those fibers just got in my eyes and hurt them.

Oh curling hurts!!! I dont do that anymore! OUCH! Thankfully my eyelashes are naturaly curly! I just wanted to try it one time and hated it!

The best mascara I own is from the dollar store, because it doesn’t clump. :D
