Sparklehearts Giveaway

My little girl is still into the baby shampoos & lotions but I had to share Sparklehearts for anyone that has an older little girl – I think I would have loved them when I was little.

From Sparklehearts…

Most girls would wince in disgust if you told them their favorite body wash contained a chemical that is produced by boiling bugs (called carmine.) And, most parents would wince in disgust if you told them their daughter’s body lotion contained sulfates, phthalates and dozens of toxins and chemicals. Enter Sparklehearts, a line of natural, safe and fun beauty products that are girl- and parent-approved.

Sparklehearts products are made from 99.6% natural ingredients that are completely “skinemy”-free, that means no harmful toxins or unpleasant ingredients. Instead, they use essential oils, violet extract, coconut, Shea butter, and green tea extract in their products. So, they not only feel and smell great, but because they’re all-natural they’re actually better for the body.

Moms Hilary Orr and Darcy McMahon came up with Sparklehearts when their search for natural beauty products for their daughters came up empty. Sure, they could find natural products, but none had the appeal of the products in flashy packaging that always seemed to catch their daughters’ eye. So, they decided to create a line of natural, environmentally-friendly beauty products designed especially for girls.

picture-51Further motivation to produce the line came when a study found that nearly 60% of products placed on the skin are absorbed into the body. “We were disgusted by the thought of petroleum, sulfates and phthalates being absorbed into our daughters’ bodies,” said co-creator Hilary Orr.

After years of research and development, and input from four of their toughest critics—their daughters, the Sparklehearts line was ready. Orr’s own daughter devised the name Sparklehearts after testing the products, a name that perfectly embodies the brand.

Sparklehearts products are made in the USA from 99.6% natural materials, using no artificial fragrances or colors, parabens, phthalates or sulfates. Their products are never tested on animals and are packaged in stylish bottles using 100% post-consumer recycled materials. There are currently five Sparklehearts products to choose from:

Shine Shampoo, 10 oz. • $12.49
Repairs and protects hair, leaving it remarkably radiant. Pansy extract protects hair from sun damage, violet extract and aloe soothes and softens hair, rosemary rejuvenates dull hair and natural coconut and sugar make fabulous foam for super shiny, clean results.

Rainbow Soft Conditioner, 10 oz. • $12.49
Repairs damage and restores shine, bounce and beauty. Vitamin b5, Shea butter, jojoba and wheat protein combine to give hair a healthy, shiny bounce.

Peace Out No Knots Hair Detangler, 8 oz. • $12.49
Removes rebellious tangles and seals in shine for happy, healthy hair. Green tea and sage extracts prevent damage and repair hair, nettle extract minimizes oily build-up and dandruff, and willow bark keeps shine-stealing residue away.

Bubbling Blooms Body Wash, 10 oz. • $12.49
A bubble bath that smells as sweet as it feels. Moisturizing sweet almond protein, natural coconut and primrose combine for the ultimate pampering bath experience.

Sweet Hearts Sparkly Body Lotion, 8 oz. • $12.49

The fun doesn’t end with bath and body products, because girls can also log on to www.sparklehearts.com to read about their products, become a fan of them on Facebook or create their own Sparkleheart design. The free design program makes it easy for anyone to create their own colorful, personalized design. When they’re finished, users can either save it to their computer to use as wallpaper, or print it onto an iron-on transfer for a one-of-a-kind T-shirt!
