Win a Montel Williams HealthMaster Blending Machine {review & giveaway}

My son is back to school, so mornings are a bit of a rush. Breakfast, packing lunches, getting the kids dressed and doing some work before we leave, phew…our house is a whirlwind all before 8 o’clock! And I know, that we are not alone!

To make a small portion of our morning somewhat manageable, I’m turning to smoothies! I can get milk, fruit and some flax seed, even their vitamins in my kids all in one shot! And, we can take them to go, if needed!  Plus my super picky son, who HATES fruit and veggies, likes smoothies…go figure.

I received Montel William’s HealthMaster to review, for free, and now I am giving one away to you, for free! Woohoo!

A little about the HealthMaster from Montel Williams…
Combating Multiple Sclerosis and related health problems for over a decade, Montel Williams understands the importance of diet, exercise and healthy recipes to improve overall quality of life. Williams recently introduced the Living Well HealthMaster, an easy way to instantly increase your daily intake of seasonal and wholesome fruits and vegetables. This emulsifier takes the place of 30 kitchen appliances and helps to chop, juice, blend, knead dough—even cook soups—with one appliance.

What I love about this machine…

  • The possibilities for using it are endless! From ice cream, sorbet, appetizers, soups, smoothies, baby food, pizza dough mix, brownie mix…seriously this machine is incredible! And of course drinks drinks drinks of the alcohol persuasion come out beautifully…I made a mean margarita for Cinco de Mayo – it was damn good!
  • It’s not complicated. There’s only 4 major buttons on it with different speeds and pulses
  • It comes with menu books to create all the scrumptious foods I talked about above, including tips on what buttons to use
  • It’s fast! I mean, it blends super duper fast! And that’s good when you are in a rush.
  • It won’t start without it being locked into position and the lid firmly on. I like that safety net…anyone that has had a blender explosion and has had to clean it up, knows just how great of a feature this is!
  • It has these clips to keep the cord wrapped abound the underneath of the machine when not in use so no straggly cords to deal with.
  • It has a heating feature to make soups RIGHT in the machine! CRAZY! (I have not used this function yet, FYI)

What I would do better if I could help them design another one…
I’d make it smaller. That’s it. It’s HUGE but taken apart it does fit in my cabinet under my counter. And the size can be great for parties.

Wanna win one?
One lucky Ohana Mama reader will win a Living Well HealthMaster of their very own! (a $199.96 value)

One step at a time. I had a dream several months ago, a kind-souled woman was sitting beside me, gently pressed her finger onto my thick upper arm, then on my well-padded shoulder blade. With absolutely no condemnation or criticism, she told me, “You know, your outside-self is out of balance with your real essence. Yes . . . You could do something about that, you know. You could make them match.” And so, it began. I could feel the difference between my weight and my inner size. This dream-conversation gave me a physical sensation of the difference between what I’m carrying and what I’m built for. So, starting there, (sInce spring) I’ve dropped nearly 30 pounds, and have at least twice that much to go. The next steps are: More produce and more walking. Then, late Friday night I just couldn’t sleep and found Montel promoting this machine. What an ideal tool for me. My daughter tells me of her friend who eats nearly everything as raw food. I was just wondering how a person could do that . . . and, as I said, there was the HealthMaster. I really want one of those. And my little girl’s words come to mind, “Don’t say I want, Mommy. Say May I Please..?” So: May I please receive a HealthMaster? (I’ll be sure to say Thank you, too. I assure you.)

Just a few more words on my blog . . a new entry there: How DOES a person get enough produce in a day?

I would use this to make delicious breakfast smoothies for my family :)

Tammie August 31, 2009 at 2:11 pm

First, it would replace our juicer – no more precutting the fruits & vegetables down in size in order to fit into the opening! Second, I love to make homemade soups and, once again, this has the size and strength to get the job done right the first time. Third, fourth and fifth… well, you get the idea! :)

Wendy McBride August 31, 2009 at 2:30 pm

I would love to try Fondue Italiano…..dip Italian bread in it. Sounds great!

Also for picky eaters and those of us that don’t have time to cook alot of vegetables…..I have read about someHealthy Fruit Smoothie recipes that include a scoop of water-soluble Organic Greens and flax seed meal. ( can’ t taste those ingredients two ingredients and it sneaks nutrition in for everyone)
