Ode to My Post-Breastfeeding Boobies {a poem}

Picture 4(no, those aren’t mine…)

Ode to my Post-Breastfeeding Boobies

Saggy, droopy, even scoopy!
That is what my boobs look like
After 22 months of sucking, pulling, sometimes chewing,
while breastfeeding my little tyke

Yes, they’re back, they’re mine all mine
But wait what do I hear?
It’s crying, whining, “Mine mine mine”
And no it’s not my daughter it’s my sweet hubby dear

No, STOP! Let ME have them for a bit, I say
After all it’s been a long time since I’ve had them this way…

All tucked up in a pretty bra,
with no snaps or big old straps across my shoulder
One that doesn’t need to have any pads to soak up the milk from my feeding boulders

Yes now I have a little secret just between Victoria and me,
It’s called a demi cup WITH an underwire and it’s spilling over with fabulosity!

Saggy, droopy, even scoopy, that’s what’s been done by gravity’s law..
Yes, I freely admit, that’s what my boobs look like now without my pretty little  bra

But, I fed my little girl from them for 22 months! Holy COW, no pun intended…
And yes, I admit I was sad when it all recently ended.

But they’re mine, all mine, good to have you back dear girls
In whatever state,
Now let’s get that decolletage all pretty and ready
It’s time for a Daddy date!

The end!

(or a new beginning….weeee!)

  15. LOVE this posting. After breastfeeding my 3 daughters my 35 year old boobs are looking mature for their age, and one more so than the other. So I thought I’d pose the question on my FB page:

Meredith Wanner Groenevelt: My inquiring mind wants to know:

Question #1) Can one boob age faster than the other? And if you don’t comment on this I’ll assume:
    a) You are female/male under 25 and have not been pregnant and have NO idea what I’m talking about.
Or b) You’re “unfriending” me this very moment.

ha ha ha you are too funny. well all i can say is it’s on a day by day.. no wait, an hour by hour basis! At any one moment i’ll look in the mirror and Ah.. boobs of a goodess! And then there’s those times when one is bigger than the other and well.. it’s as if me and a 75 year old swapped one.

    Yes, just one.

I can’t remember for sure which comedian it was, but he wrote “When was it that my wife’s breasts turned from an Entertainment Centre to a Snack Bar?”
I got used to the post-feeding boobs, but they’ll never be those stupid perky movie star boobs that I .. never … had. :)

I think after all the work they have done our boobies should get rewarded by getting, bigger, firmer, and perkier! Sadly this isn’t the case :(
