This part sucks…

My parents head back to the mainland today.  Last night as I was trying to get to sleep it hit me and yes I started to tear up.  They were only here for four days, way too short, but I got used to having them around, already.  They used to live on Maui but have been back in California for over a year now. Oh how I wish we lived by one another once again…some day we will. Some day.

So we’re taking them to the airport in a little bit.  I know I will have two kiddos that are going be missing their Tutu and Papa and I will be missing my mommy and daddy. It might be a rough day around here.

This is the absolute toughest part of following your dreams to live in cool places….your entire family and all of your friends can’t come with you.  That part sucks.

My parents are in NY and I’m in GA and they want to move south – I miss them soooo much! I would do anything to live close to my mom. I feel your pain.

Awwwww- I feel you, lady. Our family is spread out all over the country. Our webcam gets a workout!
Here’s to hoping you’re with each other again soon.

Yes . . . sucks, sucks, sucks! Just left the folks in Michigan to return to the new home in western NC. The mountains here are beautiful, but 7 yr old, 4 yr old, & myself were all in tears. Hang in there!

I totally know the feeling. It was so hard every time we’d have to go back to Florida after visiting the family up here. I would cry the entire Mass every Sunday when we’d visit.

Awww…I’m sorry! I do understand though – I live 5 hrs from my dad and 8 hrs from the rest of my family and friends. It is hard! I hope you had an alright day. : )

That does suck. On the bright side, they are still able to travel and you can stay in contact via the internet and phone. Hope you took bunches of pics.

That would stink. My parents live about 10 minutes away. Yay for your date night, though! I laughed at your description. My husband and I have been married 10 years and we, too, can get boring. :)

Ah, I am sympathetic towards you. It is so helpful to have parents close by, esp. when you have kids of your own.
At least you do live in a beautiful part of the country.

I truly understand what you mean – being far away from family sucks. I miss mine – they are in the Philippines and I have one brother in LA Ca.

((((hugs))))
