Eight years ago, my man asked me to marry him
Happy Aloha Friday Valentine’s Edition!
Sunday is Valentine’s Day and marks the eight year anniversary of my engagement to my high school sweetheart. I was 24, he was 25. We lived in North County San Diego in the beach town of Encinitas. I worked in PR, he was chasing his entrepreneurial tail (some things never change) and we were in love. We met, when I was 14 and he was 16, in Algebra class.

(kids were sleeping or away)

Take a NAP?
It’ll tell ya, for me, it’s a tough call. Right about now I’d choose the nap. Sorry hubby. That’s what happens after 8 years, two kids, and a puppy.

My hubby proposed on Easter so he would always remember the date …except he forgot that Easter is never on the same date … or month. LMAO.

The BEST DEEPEST sleep always seemed to follow great passionate sex. Usually when the kiddies were napping because at an afternoon siesta, Mom isn’t totally exhausted from her long and always crazy hectic day!

I’m always WAY better in bed when well rested.
So I think my husband should BEG me to take a naps, pull down the covers, quiet the kids, and fluff my pillow a bit. He does that, and he’d have much a better chance at getting to fluff my pillows later.
