Get Your Greens!

Summer is approaching and there’s nothing better than a fresh green leafy salad to cool you down and fill you up in the summer heat. I received some coupons from Fresh Express to try them out and check out their cool and useful “Leaf Locator.” Now I am no stranger to Fresh Express’ bagged salads, I am a lover already, but I didn’t know that I could see where my leafy greens were “born” by using their Leaf Locator tool.

How it works…The people at Fresh Express don’t just put salads together, they have passion behind it and a story to tell.  The Leaf Locator allows you to take the code that’s on your bag of greens and find out just where it was grown and the story of how it made it to your table. This can be super fun for the kids…anything that’s interactive makes eating more fun, right? So head on out, buy a bag then find out the story behind your leafy greens.

Then try one of Fresh Express’ yummy salad recipes. Here’s one that looks delicious!

Kiwi Steak Salad

Salad Ingredients:
1 pkg Fresh Express Triple Hearts Blend
1/4 cup cucumber, peeled & diced
1/4 cup red bell pepper, diced
1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
2 ripe kiwi, peeled & sliced
1 lb boneless loin steak, grilled
Your favorite Creamy Asiago or Parmesan Dressing

Make the Salad:
Place greens into a large salad bowl.
Add fruit & vegetable ingredients.
Drizzle dressing over salad and toss to coat.
Divide salad between 4 salad serving plates.
Arrange sliced steak atop each salad.

Serves 4.

Now it’s your turn! Share a link, click on a link, keep the hula shake shakin’!

Have a fresh and rockin’ week everyone!
