After growing up in Southern California and seeing our shores literally gobbled up by houses and coffee shops, I am always a little in awe that there is still so much land on Maui, even the land right up to the ocean, that isn’t developed.
It’s Fabulous. It’s Fantastic. It’s Freeing.
And YOU can help keep it that way.
If you’ll be on island January 29th, whether you are visiting or live here, you are invited to the 10th Annual Buy Back the Beach event put on at the Old Lahaina Luau by the Hawaii Land & Trust.
The event is set to take place on beautiful grounds, with the Pacific ocean and the gorgeous Maui mountains as your backdrop. Foods created by some of Maui’s top Chefs, including, Chef Peter Merriman of Merriman’s Kapalua and Chef Ivan Pahk of Cane and Taro and Sansei will be enjoyed. And everyone will be coming together to help preserve the beautiful land of Hawaii.
Stuck on the mainland but would still love to help preserve our lovely land? You can donate online, HERE!
(psst, you can also find out how you may volunteer your time the next time you are on island, here)
I’ll be at the event live tweeting, so be sure to follow me at @TheOhanaMama!
