Don’t Lose Your Kids Stuff with Punkaboo (review & giveaway)

The other week I sent Cam to school with a lunchable. I totally gave into peer pressure when Cam whined to me “Mooooommmm, everyone else gets a pizza lunchable for lunch. Can I have one, pleeeeeaaaasssseeee!” I gave in. It’s was a “treat”…don’t call me a bad mom.

In this lunchable was also a dessert, an airhead candy (ok, so maybe that’s a bad mom move, but again, it’s a treat. Ok, no, it’s just bad mom behavior, so sue me). Anyhow Cam is not allowed to have candy at school so the teacher put it in his pouka (his box where his drawings and any notes for home go) then I was going to grab it and Cam could enjoy it at a later time.

This one day the candy was gone! So was Cam’s paperwork. A busy, and probably tired, mom had inadvertently taken the contents of Cam’s box instead of her son’s. Cam was bummed. No candy. I felt bad. I got him a treat on the way home…hey, I’m not winning any trophies here, right?

The moral of the story is that if I had used these awesome name stickers on everything imaginable that gets sent to school, including pieces of his lunch, Cam would have not lost his candy, I would not have had to stop on the way home and buy a lollipop (it was organic does that count?) and all would be well with the world.

Well, Leah is starting preschool in July so I am getting ready in advance with Punkaboo waterproof labels.  I received them for a review and you bet I’ll be using these cute stickers on her shoes, water bottle, blanket and lunch box, including her bento box inside and yes candy if I decide to send some…which I will NOT do (bad mommy! bad!).

Our Punkaboo labels have lasted through the dishwasher, being out and about, even multiple trips to the beach. The labels are bright, available in a ton of adorable designs and are big enough for me (and other moms) to see.

You can find the entire line of Punkaboo labels and tags at http://www.punkaboo.com/

Olive Kids Personalized Plate & Placemat Review and Giveaway {ends 10/1}

If you are on Twitter and follow Olive Kids (@olivekids) no doubt you’ve seen this tweet…

And if you’ve ever wondered, like me, “hmmmm, I wonder if these personalized plates and placemats could really keep my kids at the table?”  I am here to tell you they do!  We received personalized plates and placemats for Cameron and Leah to review, and they LOVE them!

Cameron got the Heroes placemat and plate and Leah got the Mermaids (both of which are on sale right NOW!).  Right away Cameron loved his and was so extremely excited that it had his name on it – he’s big into his name right now and I think seeing it all the time helps him learn how to spell and write it better.  Leah ooh’d and aahh’d over the Mermaids. And I think the plates and placemats really do make them eat better and definitely help keep them at the table.  Anything that can make dinner time fun so that the kids eat their meal, is a hit by me!

These would be perfect for gifts for the holidays or a birthday present.  The personalization makes it extra special.  And something not everyone talks about but the packaging that they came in was top notch.  Everything at Olive Kids is high quality and super fun for the kids!  The personalized plates are all lead and BPA free and CPSIA compliant so it’s no worries, just pure fun for all!

My kids using their plates and STAYING at the table! woohoo!
