The Mamasphere!

I have been a member of this insanely supportive and fun community for over 4 years.  I even recruited my sister to join and she is now a permanent member – has been for almost 3 years, starting when she was trying to conceive her first child.

The ladies of The Mamasphere are dear friends from all over the country and include those trying to conceive, those adopting, those going through infertility, pregnant mama’s, single mamas, moms of multiples, blogging moms, SAHMs, WAHMs, and moms working outside of the home …you name it, we’ve got it!

So what is The Mamasphere? It’s a community, my home away from home and is run by a super awesome Mompreneur, Stephanie Gruber.  A little bit more…

“The Mamasphere has been created to assist mothers in quickly accessing the information they need to navigate through their lives as women, wives, partners, co-workers, friends, sisters, daughters, and, most importantly, mamas!

We are the community village, sharing the ups and downs of each member’s life and being a stable force of information, support, and sisterhood through the mothering years and beyond.

About the Mama behind The Mamasphere…

Hiya! My name is Stephanie and I am the creator and developer of The Mamasphere. I am currently living in NY and working from internet cafes across the county while raising a preschooler who gives new meaning to the word “spirited!”

Before The Mamasphere at mamasphere.com, we were the BTBG’s of Babytalkbio.com.

Babytalkbio was born in 2004 out of a need for a supportive, non-snarky site for moms and moms-to-be to share, laugh, and find support for all those tough parenting decisions. For 4 years, our friendships (and our membership!) grew and we all experienced the ups and downs of life, death, marriage, divorce, financial gains and bankruptcies, as well as, obviously, lots and lots of new babies born!!

In May of 2009, we outgrew our old site and The Mamasphere was established. Our name was suggested by a member during extensive naming posts and our entire community voted to ensure that we remain true to our community centered focus.

The features and add-ons that are new, such as our blogs, marketplace, and recipe section were also all taken from suggestions by current members. This site truly is one built by and for the community!

I feel lucky to be able to provide the space for this fantastic community to continue to grow and flourish. The friendships made here are truly exceptional and I look forward to all that is to come on The Mamasphere.
